Located in one of the Rome's most interesting and fascinating villas, the Borghese Gallery was built at the beginning of the 17th century for the Cardinal Scipione Borghese, patron in Rome of the young Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It houses one of the world finest and priceless art collection, enriched with sculptures and paintings produced by masters such as Bernini, Raphael, Caravaggio, Canova, Rubens, and Titian. We will visit the rooms admiring the Caravaggio's masterpieces with his unique use of "chiaroscuro" (darkness and light), the Canova's Paolina, the Titian's Sacred and Profane Love, the Raphael's Deposition from the cross, and the Bernini's artworks such as David, Rape of Proserpina and Apollo and Daphne.
